The Lagos State Government, during a joint enforcement on Monday, sealed Better Mart on Badore Road, Off Addo Road, Ajah.
This is also as the government shut Ashley mall in same Ajah.
Both outfits were accused of breaking the state Transportation, Urban and Regional Planning Development laws.
The enforcement was carried out by the Governor’s Monitoring Team (GMT) the State Taskforce in company with the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA), Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) and the Lagos State Parking Authority (LASPA).
The  General Manager, Lagos State LASPA, Mrs. Adebisi Adelabu, said the state government, in a bid to ensure a coordinated, multi-agency approach to urban mobility, set up a Transport Advisory Board comprising relevant Ministries Department and Agencies.
She added that the state government was desirous of ensuring compliance of the relevant rules and regulations in the parking, building, and environmental management sectors, adding that government would not hesitate to carry out enforcement when it is necessary.
The task force officers, before sealing up the premises, ensured that all the occupants of the buildings and their customers vacated the shopping centres, while some illegal attachments were demolished by LASBCA.
‎Recall that officials of the Lagos State Parking Authority LASPA, who were on a routine compliance check to the shopping malls last week, were assaulted.
‎Adelabu reiterated the LASPA’s commitment to the actualization of the state Parking Regulations.
She warned  that any individual or organization that attempted to obstruct the lawful activities of the state government officials would be made to face the full wrath of the relevant laws.
