LG chairman collapses during APC stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos

Kolade Alabi, the Chairman of Bariga Local Government Area on Wednesday, May 7, caused panic at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat in on ACME road, Ikeja, Lagos State capital when he slumped while giving a speech.
Alabi, the state chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), was addressing party stakeholders at their meeting when he abruptly collapsed.
Alabi fell down around 12.10pm while he was delivering a speech to party members.
The sudden collapse triggered panic among those present at the meeting, and they immediately rushed to assist him.
He was quickly revived before he was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, party members expressed relief at his prompt recovery and wished him a speedy return to good health.
The exact cause of his collapse has not been disclosed: also, further information regarding his current condition has not been provided.
