A host of Europe’s top football clubs will take to the pitch on Saturday (today) in a packed schedule of league fixtures and title chases across the continent.
In the English Premier League, ex-champions, Manchester City, will look to maintain momentum in the title race as they travel to face Southampton at 1400 GMT.
Later in the day, Aston Villa take on Bournemouth in a 1630 GMT kickoff, with other fixtures including Fulham v Everton, Ipswich v Brentford, and Wolves v Brighton.
In Italy’s Serie A, the spotlight will be on Lazio as they host Juventus at 1600 GMT.
Earlier, Como will face Cagliari at 1300 GMT, while Empoli square off against Parma in the evening match at 1845 GMT.
German Bundesliga fans will see five matches, including Bayern Munich’s home clash against Borussia Mönchengladbach at 1630 GMT.
Other fixtures include Bochum v Mainz, Werder Bremen v RB Leipzig, Union Berlin v Heidenheim, and Holstein Kiel v Freiburg.
Spanish La Liga features a series of crucial ties.
Valencia host Getafe at 1200 GMT, Celta Vigo face Sevilla at 1415 GMT, while Atletico Madrid welcome Real Sociedad in a key matchup at 1900 GMT.
Girona v Villarreal and Mallorca v Valladolid round out the day’s fixtures at 1630 GMT.
In France’s Ligue 1, all nine scheduled matches kick off at 1900 GMT.
Champions Paris Saint-Germain will be on the road to face Montpellier, while Monaco host Lyon, and Le Havre take on Marseille.
Other fixtures include Angers v Strasbourg, Auxerre v Nantes, Brest v Lille, Reims v Saint-Etienne, Rennes v Nice, and Toulouse v Lens.
Scotland’s Premiership also offers full action at 1400 GMT, with Celtic hosting Hibernian, Hearts facing Motherwell, and Kilmarnock meeting Dundee among the matches. St. Johnstone v Ross County and Dundee United v St. Mirren complete the schedule.
In England’s second tier, the Championship Play-Offs semi-final first leg between Coventry City and Sunderland will be held at 1900 GMT, as both teams aim to move one step closer to Premier League promotion.
