Man nabbed on bank premises with explosives strapped to his body

A young man who stormed a bank in Dadin Kowa town, Jos South, Plateau State with belts packed with improvised explosives has been arrested.

It was gathered that he was apprehended on May 13, 2024, after he was suspected of carrying by the vigilante security at the bank.

The men were said to have prevented him from detonating the bomb.

A viral video showed the vigilantes surrounding and apprehending him. They apprehended him before he could achieve his aim.

Angry mob later surrounded the suspect and demanded that he should be killed immediately.

While some of the crowd claimed that the suspect was linked with the Islamic State of the West African Province or Boko Haram, there was nothing to suggest such.

He was taken to a police station in the area.
