Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred reactions online following his bold statement on the death of former Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari.

In a viral video, Portable linked the ex-president to the tragic Lekki Toll Gate shooting during the #EndSARS protests, claiming Buhari was the one who gave the alleged order to open fire on protesters not the current president, Bola Tinubu.

“The man that said they should shoot our people at The Lekki Still Gate is dead. Let us do good. May he die again in Heaven. He was the one that ordered the shooting, not Tinubu. He died in London”.

The singer’s remarks, especially his controversial prayer, have sparked widespread backlash and debate across social media, with many Nigerians criticizing his choice of words.

Portable is known for his unfiltered views and often stirs controversy with his outspoken personality. His latest comments continue that trend, prompting a new wave of mixed reactions online.

One reader said, “What’s the fuse about buhari’s death sef, let him rest and receive his merited reward, His powers have ended, God is the judge.”

Another wrote, “There is no death in heaven… And if he was as wicked like you said, he will not enter heaven.”

Yet another said, “Make everybody talk am as e dey im mind, that man was very brutal.”
