Mba, Ciroma, other officers decorated by IGP with insignia of new ranks

The Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, has decorated newly promoted senior police officers with their new ranks.

Egbetokun, at the Goodluck Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall, Force Headquarters, Abuja, decorated about 38 senior officers.

In attendance at the ceremony were the Executive Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma; the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Dr Akon Etim; the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin; IGP Usman Alkali Baba (retd.); Defence Attaches to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China; and the Force Management Team, among others.

No fewer than 38 officers were decorated, including Deputy Inspectors-General of Police, Bala Ciroma; Frank Mba, 14 Assistant Inspectors-General of, as well as 22 Commissioners of Police.

Egbetokun urged the officers to discharge the schedules of their new ranks within the dictates of the rule of law and citizens’ expectations.
