NDLEA arrests Pretty Mike, others during Lagos drug-themed party

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, raided Proxy Night club on Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, during a drug-themed party on Sunday.
Over 100 suspects, including the owner of the club, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, aka Pretty Mike, were arrested for screening.
Cartons of substances including Loud, and Laughing gas, were reportedly recovered from suspects at the party and at the club’s store.
NDLEA in a statement said the raid followed intelligence about the drug-themed party.
NDLEA operatives who were undercover at the party around 11pm on Saturday 25th October, we’re said to have disrupted the gathering at 3am on Sunday 26th October “based on Standard Operating Procedures, SOPs.”
NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, in the statement said the operation was part of its intensified crackdown on drug trafficking and abuse nationwide.
“The raid followed intelligence about the drug party.
“Our operatives embedded at the venue from 11pm on Saturday disrupted the gathering around 3am Sunday in accordance with the agency’s SOPs,” said Babafemi.
Pretty Mike was taken into custody alongside several others.
NDLEA sources said investigations are ongoing to determine his level of involvement and whether charges will be filed.
