‎NiDCOM salutes Capt. Osilaja for recent milestone in US aviation

‎The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission‎, NiDCOM, has congratulated Captain Adebanke Osilaja for becoming the first licensed Nigerian female pilot at any US legacy airline.

‎Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the Head, Media, Public Relations and Protocol Unit, NIDCOM in a statement on Friday said Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the commission, described the achievement as a remarkable breakthrough and a proud moment for Nigeria.

She pointed out that rising to Captain in a major American carrier reflects exceptional professionalism, resilience and mastery.

‎Dabiri-Erewa added that Osilaja’s success is a powerful inspiration to young Nigerians everywhere, especially girls aspiring careers in the aviation industry and other male-dominated fields.

‎The NiDCOM Boss wished the Nigerian Flight Captain the best in her endeavours.

‎Recall that Capt. Osilaja was one of the recipients at the 2025 National Diaspora Merit Awards held in Abuja in July.
