NiDCOM salutes Capt. Osilaja for recent milestone in US aviation

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, has congratulated Captain Adebanke Osilaja for becoming the first licensed Nigerian female pilot at any US legacy airline.
Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the Head, Media, Public Relations and Protocol Unit, NIDCOM in a statement on Friday said Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the commission, described the achievement as a remarkable breakthrough and a proud moment for Nigeria.
She pointed out that rising to Captain in a major American carrier reflects exceptional professionalism, resilience and mastery.
Dabiri-Erewa added that Osilaja’s success is a powerful inspiration to young Nigerians everywhere, especially girls aspiring careers in the aviation industry and other male-dominated fields.
The NiDCOM Boss wished the Nigerian Flight Captain the best in her endeavours.
Recall that Capt. Osilaja was one of the recipients at the 2025 National Diaspora Merit Awards held in Abuja in July.
