Nigeria gradually heading towards 24-hour daily power supply –FG

The Federal Government has said Nigeria is steadily moving toward uninterrupted power supply.
The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, added that there is visible progress in both electricity generation and distribution.
Adelabu said this at the inauguration of two new blocks at the National Power Training Institute of Nigeria (NAPTIN), which include five training workshops and a 104-room hostel.
The minister pointed out that for the first time in many years, Nigerians are witnessing improvements in the stability of power supply.
He emphasized that while the progress is gradual, it aligns with the Federal Government’s long-term goal of ensuring continuous electricity for homes, industries, and public facilities.
“In no time, we are going to witness a country where there is 24/7 uninterrupted power supply. This is possible, and we have certainly seen the signs,” Adelabu said.
The minister also outlined that one of the government’s immediate strategies is to ensure that critical public infrastructures receive reliable power. Several universities, hospitals, primary health centers, and other essential institutions are already benefiting from these government-backed interventions.
