A former Minister of Defence and Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, Ademola Seriki, is dead.
Born on November 30, 1959, the 63-year-old Lagos politician and close ally of APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, died in the early hours of Thursday in Madrid, Spain.
A statement by his family says “he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family”.
A Commander of the Order of Niger, Seriki was not known to have any major health issue.
The statement reads partly, “It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to Almighty Allah that we announce the loss of our much loved and admired patriarch, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.”
