Nine persons returning from wedding die in Katsina-Kano road crash

Tragedy struck on Saturday as nine persons from the Dambatta Local Government Area of Kano State lost their lives in a car crash along the Katsina-Kano highway.

Four of those who died were believed to be from same family.

According to information gathered, the victims were returning from a wedding in Katsina when the Katsina-Kano road crash happened.

While authorities have not yet released details, eyewitnesses described the Katsina-Kano road crash as severe.

The state governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, responded to the incident in a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Mustapha Muhammad.

“It is with profound sorrow that I offer my deepest condolences to the families and the entire community of Dambatta on the tragic loss of six young lives.

“The news of the car accident, claiming these boys on their way back from Katsina, has brought immense grief to us all”.
