NJC suspends two judges, places one on two-year watch list
The National Judicial Council has suspended two Judicial Officers from office for one year without pay and placed one on “Watch-List” for a period of two years.
They are justice G. C. Aguma of High Court of Rivers State and Justice A. O. Nwabunike.
The Chief Judge of Imo State, Justice Chukwuemeka Chikeka and the Grand Kadi of Yobe State, Kadi Babagana Mahdi, were also recommended for compulsory retirement for falsification of their ages.
The council under the leadership of Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, while cautioning a head of court, however, recommended 36 High Court Judges for appointment
