Obasa, Egbedun get lawmakers’ nods to become Lagos, Osun Speakers

Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the 9th Lagos Assembly, has been elected speaker of the 10th Assembly.

His emergence followed a nomination and general acceptance by the lawmakers-elect.

Monisola Lasbat (Apapa I), Chief Whip of the 9th Assembly, was also elected Deputy Speaker of the 10th Assembly after her nomination and general acceptance by the House.

The elections followed the proclamation of the 10th Assembly by Governor Sanwo-Olu.

Meanwhile, Wale Egbedun has been elected as the Osun state House of Assembly Speaker for the 8th assembly.

He emerged the Speaker after Governor Ademola Adeleke, had announced the dissolution of the 7th assembly and the proclamation of the 8th assembly.
