Obaseki’s deputy, Shaibu, emerges factional PDP governorship candidate

The deputy Governor of Edo State, Pillip Shaibu, has emerged as the winner in a factional primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2024 Edo governorship election.
Shaibu won the parallel primaries with 301 votes.
Meanwhile, the Governor Godwin Obaseki faction of the party is still on its own election.
