Prof Olatunji Dare clocks 80 years, Sanwo-Olu hails The Nation columnist
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Prof. Olatunji Dare on his 80th birthday.
Sanwo-Olu in a congratulatory message described Dare, a renowned communication scholar and The Nation Newspaper columnist, who clocked 80 years on July 17, as a statesman and respected voice in society.
The governor noted that Prof. Dare’s dedication to the growth and development of Nigeria, particularly through the literary and media sector is highly commendable.’
The statement added, “He wished the erudite scholar and former Chairman of The Guardian Newspaper Editorial Board, good health, strength, long life and wisdom to keep thriving as he joins the league of octogenarians.”
The governor also praised Dare for his courage and boldness, “which are depicted in all his insightful write-ups on topical issues in the country.”
He said, “I join family members, friends, associates and professional colleagues to wish Prof. Olatunji Dare, a happy 80th birthday.
“As Prof. Olatunji Dare celebrates his 80th birthday, I pray that God will grant him good health to enable him to render more service to humanity.”
