Relief as SuperSport concludes plans to air AFCON 2023

Multichoice, owners of Digital Satellite Television, have concluded arrangements to broadcast the Africa Cup of Nations. Cote d’Ivoire 20223 on its sporting channel, SuperSport.

Recall that the company had earlier reportedly said it would not transmit the tournament ‘because the channel has not secured the rights to broadcast the tournament.’

But a credible source said SuperSport would air AFCON 2023 games starting from Saturday’s opener between hosts Cote d’Ivoire and Guinea Bissau.

The source added, “The arrangement is is non-exclusive and may be available on most bouquets on DSTV and GOtv.”
