Renowned Nollywood actor Emmanuel France dies at 80

Veteran Nollywood actor Emmanuel France has passed away at the age of 80

France was celebrated for his roles in films such as Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister and The Director.

Nigerian filmmaker Femi Ogedengbe confirmed France’s death via his Instagram page on Monday, expressing sadness and recalling their fond memories together.

“Rest in peace to one of Nollywood’s legends, Uncle Emmanuel France,” Ogedengbe wrote. “One of the actors I took to Tanzania in 2006. We shot three movies together: Cross My Sin, She Is My Sister and The Director. R.I.P.”

Born in Ghana, France passing will be deeply felt by filmmakers, fellow actors, and journalist friends.
