Reps begin two-month annual recess

The House of Representatives has commenced a two-month annual recess.

This was made known by Speaker Abbas Tajudeen at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja during the closing session on Wednesday, July 23.

The House adjourned its legislative activities till September 23.

The motion to proceed on the two-month break was moved, seconded, and unanimously adopted by members during plenary.

Speaker Abbas encouraged members to utilise the period to reconnect with their constituents, address local concerns, and monitor ongoing federal projects in their respective areas.
