Sad! Yoruba actress Iyabo Oko is dead

Yoruba movie star, Sidikat Odunkanwi, fondly called Iyabo Oko, has passed away.

Bisi Aisha, Iyabo Oko’s daughter, took to her Instagram page on Thursday afternoon to announce the passing of her mother.

“It is well with your soul mummy. RIP,” she wrote.

“Wurami, Rest in Peace”.

She, however, didn’t reveal the cause of her death.

Recall that last year, controversy trailed the details of Iyabo Oko’s health after the family initially announced her death.

Aisha announced her mother’s death in January 2022.

But the following day, she updated the post, saying her mother — thought to be dead — suddenly budged back to life.

Before her death, Iyabo Oko had battled with paralysis that led to her acting hiatus.

Iyabo started acting as a teenager in 1973. She later began to feature on the Eda Onileola theatre troupe.
