Emir Muhammad Sanusi on Thursday approved the appointment of Hamisu Sani as the new Ward Head for Kofar Mazugal, Dala Local Government area of Kano State.

The appointment was his first work  since he was reinstated by Governor Abba Yusuf after the state assembly scrapped former emirate law and returned one monarch for the state instead of five that the former law created.

The move had degenerated the state into chaos as one of the five sacked emirs, Ado Bayero, refused to leave without a fight.

But despite the emirate crisis, Sanusi, on Thursday approved the appointment.

He called on the new ward head to ensure peaceful coexistence among his subjects in the area and contribute his quota towards the development of the state as a whole.

District heads and other prominent personalities, such as delegations from religious and market bodies, have continued to pay homage to Sanusi, shunning the deposed Emir Ado Bayero.

The delegation includes the Ansarulddeen Tijjanniya sect and traders from both the popular Kantin Kwari textile market  and the Singer market in the ancient city.
