Sanwo-Olu presents N3tr budget estimates for 2025 to Assembly
Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has presented an estimate of N3 trillion as a proposed budget for the 2025 fiscal year to the House of Assembly.
Sanwo-Olu described the ‘Budget of Sustainability’ as a ‘blueprint for resilience and shared prosperity for Lagosians’.
The presentation, which took place on Monday, highlights the state government’s commitment to driving infrastructure development, economic growth, and improved public services in Lagos.
Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the proposed budget aligns with his administration’s development agenda, ensuring that the state remains a hub of prosperity and innovation.
He also anchored the budget on five pillars of infrastructure sustainability, economic diversification, social inclusion, human capital development, environmental sustainability, governance, and institutional reforms.
Recurrent expenditure is N1.239 trillion (41 percent) while capital expenditure is N1.766 trillion (59 percent).
