S’Court dismisses appeal against Benue gov, Alia

The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal challenging the election of Benue state governor, Hyacinth Alia.

This follows the withdrawal of Sebastian Hon, attorney for Titus Uba of the Peoples Democratic Party from his appeal.

Uba had contested the victory of Governor Hyacinth Alia of the All Progressives Congress.

However, both the Election Petitions Tribunal and the Court of Appeal upheld Alia’s election as governor of Benue State in the March 18 governorship election.
