Seyi Makinde reshuffles cabinet in Oyo State

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has carried out a cabinet reshuffle.

The announcement was made on Monday in a statement signed by his Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi.

According to the statement, the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Mr. Seun Ashamu, will now oversee the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Mr. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, formerly in charge of that ministry, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.

Prof. Dahud Shangodoyin, who previously led the Ministry of Public Works, will now head the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Meanwhile, Prof. Solihu Adelabu, the current Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, will take over the Ministry of Establishments and Training.

In turn, Mr. Segun Olayiwola, who was in charge of Establishments, will now oversee the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

Ogunwuyi stated that the changes take immediate effect, adding that the governor has urged the commissioners to continue serving with loyalty and dedication to the state.
