Shettima, Atiku, others attend Yar’Adua mother’s funeral prayer in Katsina
Vice President Kashim Shettima; Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajuddeen Abbas; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, were among dignitaries who attended the funeral prayer for the mother of late President Umaru Yar’Adua, Hajiya Dada, in Katsina State.
The prayer, led by Sheikh Aminu Yammawa, was held at the old Katsina Stadium, near the Yar’adua family residence.
Other notable attendees included former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; Labour Party President Candidate, Peter Obi; former Vice President Namadi Sambo; and members of the National Assembly.
The Emirs of Katsina and Daura, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir-Usman and Alhaji Umar Farouk, respectively, also graced the occasion.
Vice President Shettima, representing President Bola Tinubu, prayed for the late matriarch’s forgiveness and grant of Al-jannah Firdaus.
Hajiya Dada’s remains were laid to rest at the Danmarna graveyard, alongside her husband, the late Musa Yar’adua, and her son Gen. Shehu Musa-Yar’adua and the former President, Umaru Yar’adua.
She passed away at 102, leaving behind many grand and great children, including Senator Abdulaziz Musa-Yar’adua.
