Simi shares how husband, Adekunle Gold, proposed to her

Singer Simi has shared for the first time how her husband, Adekunle Gold, proposed to her.

During an appearance on the “OFFTHETOP” show with VJ Adams, Simi revealed that Adekunle popped the question just 10 days before her 30th birthday, catching her completely off guard, even though she is usually hard to surprise.

She explained that the day began with them attending a friend’s mother’s birthday, so she was already dressed up.

However, when they returned home, Simi was tired, but Adekunle insisted they go to dinner with his uncles at Eko Hotel. Although exhausted, Simi agreed, thinking it was a chance to meet her husband’s family.

As they approached their destination, Simi noticed candles at the entrance and thought it was a nice touch from Adekunle’s family. She had no idea what was coming.

When she opened the door, she was greeted by candles, flowers, and balloons. Adekunle Gold then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. In shock, Simi said “Yes.”
