Son of Lagos monarch killed in Lekki

Suspected gunmen have killed Demola, the eldest son of the Ojomu of Ajiran land, Lekki, Lagos, Tijani Akinloye.

The incident occurred on Monday along Chevron Drive, near Ebano Supermarket.

According to a reliable source, the community is now largely deserted as residents flee in fear of what could happen after the act.

A statement circulating among residents read, “This is to inform all residents that the son of the Ajiran (Agungi) king was assassinated this morning along Chevron Drive, close to Ebano Supermarket.

“We therefore plead to our esteemed residents to avoid Chevron area, Agungi and Ajiran for now for their safety.”

The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, promised to brief journalists as soon as he had details of the incident.
