Speeding kills three. Injures three on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway
Three persons have died in a lone road accident on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, while three others were severely injured.
The Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Ahmed Umar stated this on Monday in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Umar pointed out that the accident occurred due to speeding that led to loss of control by the driver.
He added that that the incident happened in the early hours of Monday and involved a Toyota Sienna with number plate, DKP 60 LG.
He explained that the crash occurred before first AP turning point after Danco filling station on the expressway.
The FRSC boss said, “Six people, comprising four males and two females. were in the vehicle.
“Three persons were injured; two male adult and one female adult. Unfortunately three persons lost their lives in the accident.
“The injured victims are receiving treatment at Idera Hospital, while the dead bodies have been deposited at the morgue of same hospital.”
The sector commander commiserated with the crash victims and advised motorists to shun speeding, particularly during the ember months.
