Striking workers shut Lagos, Abuja airports, disrupt flight schedules

The organised labour has shut down all entry points of aviation agencies at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja as strike over what should be the new minimum wage begins.
This action affected flight operations at the nation’s busiest airports as airlines as passengers were left stranded at the airport entrances.
The aviation unions after an emergency meeting held on Sunday had directed its members to withdraw services across airports in Nigeria.
This is after the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress directed members and affiliate organisation to begin strike on Monday.
