Subomi Balogun, FCMB founder, dies at 89 years in London

Subomi Balogun, the founder of First City Monument Bank, is dead.

Balogun, the Olori Omoba of Ijebuland, Ogun State, died in London on Friday morning at the age of 89.

A philanthropist, the Otunba Tunwase of Ijebuland was also the Asiwaju of Ijebu Christians.

He built the National Paediatric Centre in Ijebu Ode, which he gave to the University of Ibadan to manage.

He was among the hosts of the One Week New Year prayers usually held in the first week of the year in Ijebu Ode.
