Tambuwal has not resigned as governors forum chairman – DG

The chairman of the PDP governors forum, C.I.D. Maduabum, has said the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has not resigned as governors forum chairman.

Theeditorial.ng on Thursday gathered there were reports that Tambuwal had resigned and Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo, was now the new chairman of the forum.

But Maduabum, in a statement, said Tambuwal will continue in his position while the party works towards resolving its crisis.

The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party that the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum (PDP-GF), Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR, has not resigned as Chairman of the Forum contrary to some media reports.

“Members of the PDP Governors Forum are working behind the scenes to resolve all contending issues concerning the Party.

“To this end a meeting of the Forum will soon be convened.”
