Tyla releases self-titled debut album, ‘Tyla’

South African singer, Tyla, has released her debut album named after herself, ‘Tyla’.

Fans are particularly excited about the collaboration with Nigerian singer, Tems. The song is titled ‘No.1’. This collaboration would be Tyla’s second project with a Nigerian singer since Ayra Starr.

Tyla became a global sensation in 2023 with her record-breaking single ‘Water’. Since the single’s release in July 2023, the song entered the top ten in over nine countries.

Following Hugh Masekela’s “Grazing in the Grass” in 1968, Tyla became the youngest South African ever and the first South African soloist to make it to the Billboard Hot 100 in 55 years.

The single also made Tyla the first winner of the new Grammy category for Best African Music Performance at the 66th Grammy Awards.
