US delivers supplies to Nigeria military

The United States has delivered military supplies to Nigerian security agencies in support of ongoing security operations in the country.

The United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) announced the delivery in a post on X on Tuesday.

The statement reads, “U.S. forces delivered critical military supplies to our Nigerian partners in Abuja. This delivery supports Nigeria’s ongoing operations and emphasizes our shared security partnership. @USinNigeria.”

The development comes amid renewed diplomatic engagement between Washington and Abuja over security challenges, particularly the activities of jihadist groups operating in parts of Nigeria.
