Vehicles collide on Third Mainland Bridge, one dies

Three vehicles rammed into one another on Thursday on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos, leaving one dead and another injured.

It was gathered that the accident happened around 10.15 am opposite the UNILAG Waterfront end of the bridge.

The multiple accidents involved a Ford bus a Toyota Camry and an Opel car.

The spokesperson for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Taofiq Adebayo, said the Toyota Camry had a tyre burst while in motion, which made the driver to lose control and subsequently collide with the two other vehicles.

“LASTMA officials and policemen from Oworonsoki Police Division were on ground to manage the ensuing traffic situation,” he added.
