Yusuf sends list of six commissioner-nominees to state Assembly 

The Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf on Monday forwarded six names to the state Assembly as Commissioner-nominees.

The speaker of the House, Ismail Falgore announced this on while reading the governor’s letter.

The nominees are Ibrahim Wayya, Shehu Sagagi, Dr. Dahiru Hashim, Dr Isma’il Dan Maraya, Gaddafi Shehu and Abdulkadir AbdulSalam.

The nominees are expected to appear before the State Assembly on Tuesday for screening.

Recall that last Thursday, Yusuf, in a major cabinet reshuffle, sacked the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Abdullahi Bichi and scrapped the office of the Chief of Staff.

He also sacked five members of his cabinet –  Ibrahim Jibril Fagge of Finance Ministry, Ladidi Ibrahim Garko of Culture and Tourism; Baba Halilu Dantiye, Information and Internal Affairs, Shehu Aliyu Yammedi, Special Duties, and Abbas Sani Abbas, Rural and Community Development.
