26 Rivers lawmakers hold plenary at legislative quarters

No fewer than 26 members of the Rivers state House of Assembly on Thursday held a plenary at the auditorium of the legislative quarters.

The lawmakers held their sitting a day after the state governor, Siminialayi Fubara, demolished the House of Assembly complex.

The lawmakers were those who were loyal to the former governor of the state, Nyemson Wike.

Recall that four lawmakers who are loyal to Fubara had declared the seat of the 27 legislators vacant.

They also passed the state budget for 2024, which the governor had signed into law.
