The magistrate court in Abuja has summoned Tonto Dikeh, the actress, and her bodyguard for alleged criminal trespass, force, and assault.

Elvis Abuyere, the chief executive officer of Skyewise Group Limited, a car dealership company in Abuja, filed the suit.

In a writ of summons seen by TheCable Lifestyle on Friday, Emmanuel Iyanna, chief magistrate, ordered the actress and her bodyguard to appear before the court.

In the notice dated August 6, the two defendants were ordered to appear the court on August 24 to answer the charges levelled against them.

In January, Dikeh was said to have approached Skyewise for the purchase of a brand new Changan Uni-K 2023 model of Mikano Motors.

The complainant, who has a dealership relationship with Mikano, subsequently paid N85 million — the full payment of the car to Mikano.

Abuyere said the payment was made with an agreement that Dikeh will pay up in installment within three months upon receiving the car.

He claimed that the actress’ first deposit was her “used 2008/2009 Lexus which was worth N37 million”. He added that she made another payment of N3.5 million.

The complainant argued that Dikeh failed to balance up at the expiration of the payment window in April, thereby committing a “breach of trust”.

On May 1, Abuyere said he retrieved the car from the defendant after efforts to get the balance proved futile.

He said Dikeh later paid N20 million, N17 million, and N5 million, leaving an outstanding balance of N2.1 million.

On July 30, the actress was said to have reached out to the dealership company to carry out servicing on the car, which was taken for maintenance.

The complainant said after the car service, Dikeh was asked to complete the payment of N2.7 million.

Abuyere alleged that the actress, alongside her bodyguard and two ladies, “forcefully stormed” the company premises in Maitama.

He also accused Dikeh of “assaulting” him and staff members of his company.

Abuyere claimed that the actress and her accomplice disrupted business operations and damaged properties.

He alleged that Dikeh threatened to use her social media platforms to crumble his business.
