Nigerian cops chase resident into canal

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested its personnel responsible for chasing a resident into the Lagos canal, according to @Omorhemi’s post on X

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning at the Federal bus stop, Ipaja Ayobo axis.

Police allegedly chased @Omorhemi’s friend’s husband into the canal, where he sustained a head injury from hitting a stone.

Eyewitnesses reported that the police took the victim’s slippers and money before fleeing.

@Omorhemi shared a video and account of the incident on X, thanking eyewitnesses and the DPO for their cooperation in bringing the officers to justice.

“Thanks to some eyewitnesses that have been able to point out two from the officers and cooperation of their DPO; they have been taken and detained at Area M where the Area commander is,” @Omorhemi wrote.

The victim is currently unconscious at LASUTH.
