Prominent billionaire businessman Aminu Dantata dies at 94 years

Kano-born billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, is dead.
He died at the age of 94.
Family sources confirmed his demise. According to one of the the sources, the elder statesman succumbed to death in the early hours of Saturday.
He may be buried later today according to Islamic rites.
His death was also confirmed on Saturday via a Facebook post by his Principal Private Secretary, Mustapha Abdullahi Junaid.
“It is with heavy heart that I announce the passing of our beloved father, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata.
“May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus and forgive his shortcomings.
“The Janazah details will be shared later insha Allah,” Junaid wrote.
Dantata was the founder of Express Petroleum & Gas Company Ltd.
He also had investment in the finance and real estate sectors.
He was also the brother of richest black man Alhaji Aliko Dangote’s grandfather.
