Olajide Adediran, aka Jandor, one of the aspirants eyeing the Lagos State governorship seat in the 2027 elections, has stepped down from the race.

The politician made the announcement while addressing journalists, leaders of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, and supporters at Liberty House, Adeniyi Jones Secretariat in Ikeja.

His withdrawal follows the recent endorsement of the state’s Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, by President Bola Tinubu.

“Within hours after I purchased my nomination forms, there were developments, including a meeting involving the President and the Deputy Governor.

“Based on my earlier position that I will align with the direction of the President, I have decided to withdraw from the race”, he said.
