I’m perfect fit for Shomolu Federal Constituency 1 – Ex-state lawmaker Rotimi Olowo

A former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rotimi Olowo, has declared his intention to represent Shomolu Federal Constituency 1 of Lagos State in the House of Representatives in 2027 under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Olowo made his ambition known on Tuesday evening when he met with constituents in the open ground near the Baptists Academy, Obanikoro Bus Stop, on Tuesday evening.

Olowo said he is the most experienced, passionate and qualified to represent the constituency at the Green Chamber in Abuja in 2027.

The lawmaker reminded politicians, market women and men, youths and residents presents at the declaration that he has been their champion even after leaving the state Assembly since 2023, adding that his welfare programmes have not stopped in the area because of his conviction that everybody must be carried along to enjoy the dividends of democracy.

He said he is not worried about the method of choosing the APC flagbearer – consensus of direct primary – adding, “Whatever the case may be, I am the most experienced. I am the most accepted, I’m the most popular, I’m the most visible, I’m the most effective, I’m the most responsive and I am highly empathetic, I am the best man for the job.”

He recalled his time at the state Assembly, nothing that several projects undertaken by the state government were supervised by the committee on budget which he chaired, adding that projects were completed and are there for everyone to see.

“During my time as the Chairman of the House Committee on Budget, we ensured that the executive keyed to every letter of Budgets,” he said.

Olowo pointed out that apart from Assembly works, he personally supported groups, individuals, youth and the aged, start-up entrepreneurs, petty traders, artisans and market women and men to actualise some of their financial needs through direct financial intervention.
