Abass trashes Wase, Jaji, emerges House of Reps Speaker

The representative of Zaria Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, Tajudeen Abbas, has been elected as the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Abbas, in an “openly declare” ballot system election on Tuesday, recorded a landslide win against his contenders.

Those who ran against him were the Deputy speaker of the 9th House of Representatives, Ahmed Wase, and Sani Jaji.

Wase and Jaji polled three votes each in the 360-member House in the race for the Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.
