EFCC seizes 37 suspected Yahoo boys, Benz, Toyota, Lexus recovered

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in the Enugu Zonal Command has arrested 37 suspected internet fraudsters.

A statement by Wilson Uwujaren, Head of the EFCC Media and Publicity,explained that the suspects were arrested on Thursday at Thinker’s Corner, Obosi Street and Owerri Street, Enugu, following intelligence reports on their alleged involvement in cybercrimes.

The statement gave their names as Chima Nelson, Obinna Ambrose, Collins Edu, Chukwuebuka Sunday, Ebuka Emmanuel, Tochukwu Emmanuel, Chimaobi Kenneth, Precious Gift, Nicholas Chinagorom, Daniel Okechukwu, Bright Ugochukwu, Chidora Iyida, Mbanusa Izuchukwu, Chimezie Theophilus, Okechukwu Chukwuebuka, Maduka Kingsley, Charles Imoke, Obiora Emmanuel, Chinwuko Chiadikaobi, Chibuike JohnPaul, Emeka Eric, Urama Ekene, Ozor Chigozie, Benneth Kamah and Eze Emmanuel.

Others are Nweke Kenechukwu, Evans Uchechukwu, Onele Sunday, Obinna Henry, Uchechukwu Davis, Tony Ugwu, Ogundele Olabanji, John.

“Items recovered from them are mobiles phones, laptops, a Mercedes Benz with number plate ABJ-201-GL, one Lexus 330 with number plate JRV-238-AE, one Lexus ES350 with number plate ENU-269-GY, one Toyota Corolla with number plate ENU-381-HU, one Toyota Camry with registration number KTU-720-HL, one Toyota Rav4 with number plate ABJ-776-LP and a Mercedes Benz E350.

“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the statement added.
