Former Inspector General of Police, Mustafa Adebayo Balogun, has died at a hospital in Lagos during a brief illness.
Family sources confirmed that the ex-police boss died of heart-related disease at Reddington Hospital, Lagos on Thursday.
Recall that Balogun was eased out of office by the then President Olusegun Obasanjo over corruption allegations.
Sources said he had been down for a while before passing on.
He was 75 years old.
