A former Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State.
Mimiko visited the APC secretariat in Ondo West Local Government Area on Wednesday, where he formally completed his registration as a member of the ruling party.
He was received by the APC State Chairman, Babatunde Kolawole, and the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji, amid excitement from party supporters.
Mimiko, who served as governor of Ondo State from 2009 to 2017, had earlier resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in April, fueling speculation about his next political move.
Before his time in the PDP, the former governor was a key figure in the Labour Party (LP), where he held significant influence at both state and national levels.
