Fallen container kills one in Lagos

A 40-feet container has fallen on a vehicle at COSTAIN roundabout, in the Surulere area of Lagos State.

According to Vanguard, the incident led to the death of a yet-to-be-identified man, while three others, including a female, sustained varying degrees of injury.

Eyewitnesses said the incident happened on Wednesday midnight.

Men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, the police, the Lagos State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit and other emergency responders were said to have move to the scene on Thursday morning for rescue operations.

The Permanent Secretary, LASEMA, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, who confirmed the incident, said, “LASEMA, LRT, LASAMBUS officials has handed over the bagged remains of the unidentified adult male to officials of SEHMU.”
