February 25 presidential election result shock them – Garba Shehu

Results of the February 25 presidential election came as a shock to many who had declared a winner before the Independent National Electoral Commission did, the Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, said on Thursday.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, stated this during an interview on Arise Television.

He said, “Despite the irregularities observed in the conduct of the February 25 election, it remains the most improved in Nigeria’s history.”

Recall that in a statement on Monday, Shehu had argued that the Buhari regime had laid the groundwork for credible elections in the country.

However, he said it is left for INEC to manage the collation of results.
