The Organised Labour is meeting with Federal Government’s team at the the Presidential Villa in a last ditch effort to stop the strike called by labour leaders.

The meeting summoned by the presidency is meant to persuade the unions to stop the national strike.

The labour leaders had called the national strike to protest the sufferings in the land occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy.

The Nigerian Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress have separately initiated moves for a national strike to commence from Tuesday.

The TUC delegation is led by the General Secretary, Nuhu Toro, while the NLC delegation is led by the president, Comrade Joe Ajaero.
