FUOYE begins new session October 23, matric Nov 16
The Federal University Oye Ekiti, Ekiti State (FUOYE), has asked its students to resume new academic session on October 23.
This follows approval by the university Senate.
A statement by the university Public Relations Officer, Mr Foluso Ogunmodede, said the resumption would usher in the first semester of the new academic session.
In the statement titled, “Notice of Resumption for the First Semester 2023/2024 Academic session,” the university asked all students, both returning and fresh, to resume academic activities on October 23.
It reads, “This is to inform all students that the university Senate at its 58th Statutory meeting held today, 11th October, 2023, approved the resumption of academic activities for the First Semester 2023/2024 academic session with effect from Monday 23rd October, 2023.
“Accordingly, all students are hereby expected to resume on Monday 23rd October, 2023.
“The matriculation ceremony for newly admitted students is scheduled to hold on Thursday, 16th and 17th Friday November,2023.
“Therefore, all newly admitted students are advised to pay their sundry fees in order to be eligible for registration and matriculation.”
