Glitz, glamour as celebs turn up for #AMVCA9 opening night [PHOTOS]

The activities for the 9th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award ceremony has kicked off in Lagos.

The AMVCA commenced this year’s 3-day award ceremony with the opening night and cultural day event, which took place at the Balmoral Conventional Centre, Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island.

The event reeked of glitz and glamour as celebrities trooped out in numbers to enjoy the rich display of arts, culture, and exquisite cuisine.

The red carpet shimmered with the brilliance of fashion masterpieces as celebrities like Thabang, Mercy Aigbe, Yemi Cregx, Venita, Uti Nwachukwu, White Money, Adunni Ade and Juliet Ibrahim among others blessed the audience with their dazzling outfits.

The main award show will air live on Saturday (today).

In April, the award organisers announced the nominees for the 9th AMVCA.

Zozibini Tunzi, the South African model, and IK Osakioduwa, the Nigerian TV star, were recently named the hosts for the award ceremony.
