The Labour Party has failed to schedule any of the rallies for it’s presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, for Monday in the South-East region of Nigeria.

This might not be unconnected with the sit-at-home order initiated by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, which is being observed every monday across the Southeast

IPOB had initiated the sit-at-home as civil disobedience against the Nigerian Government over the continuous incarceration of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The group subscribed to the order in a bid to push the Nigerian Government to release Kanu.

Kanu has been behind bars due to his agitation for the actualization of Biafra and by extension the break up of Nigeria.

But, the order was hijacked by miscreants, a decision that made the group limit the sit-at-home to whenever Kanu would appear in court.

However, it was observed on Thursday that the Labour Party avoided scheduling its 2023 presidential campaign rallies in the Southeast on Mondays.

The campaign schedule showed that Obi’s campaign rallies in the Southeast were scheduled for Tuesdays to Saturdays.
